FACT CHECKING YouTube's false claims of 'COVID Misinformation'

YouTube is facilitating the spread of medical misinformation by censoring speech. YouTube has a laundry list [1, 2] of suppressed topics that you can't even talk about. Below, we fact check YouTube's false claims regarding so-called "COVID misinformation".

YouTube bans:

Content that recommends use of Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19.

REALITY: There are vast arrays of Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine studies [1, 2] that show significant improvement in mortality, hospitalization, recovery, cases, and viral clearance.

Claims that Hydroxychloroquine is an effective treatment for COVID-19.

REALITY: Early treatment HCQ consistently shows positive effects. 398 HCQ COVID-19 studies, 301 peer-reviewed, 330 comparing treatment and control groups. HCQ is not effective when used very late with high dosages over a long period (RECOVERY/SOLIDARITY), effectiveness improves with earlier usage and improved dosing.

Categorical claims that Ivermectin is an effective treatment for COVID-19.

REALITY: Ivermectin has been officially adopted for early treatment in all or part of 22 countries (39 including non-government medical organizations). 33 randomized control trials show 63% improvement for eraly treatment.

Claims that Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine are safe to use in the treatment COVID-19.

REALITY: Both drugs are FDA approved because they are safe.

Claims that wearing a mask is dangerous or causes negative physical health effects.

REALITY: It is well documented that wearing a mask causes side effects in some individuals. One study of 343 healthcare workers found that 314 reported adverse effects such as headaches, skin breakdown, impaired cognition, and acne.

Claims that masks do not play a role in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19.

REALITY: The CDC itself has admitted that cloth mask do not work, and may increase the spread of viruses. The case against masks is well documented by data. Even medical grade masks have been demonstrated by data out of Germany and Austria to fail to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Even the far-left New York Times reports that mask mandates did nothing...

Claims that an approved COVID-19 vaccine will cause death, infertility, miscarriage, autism, or contraction of other infectious diseases.

REALITY: The CDC's VAERS has reported 21,002 deaths as of Dec 24, 2021.

Claims that COVID-19 vaccines do not reduce risk of contracting COVID-19.

REALITY: A study by the CDC suggests unboosted vaccines become worse than nothing against Omicron

Claims that any vaccine causes contraction of COVID-19.

REALITY: A study by the CDC suggests unboosted vaccines become worse than nothing against Omicron

Instructions to counterfeit vaccine certificates, or offers of sale for such documents.

REALITY: A simple Google image search for "vaccine card .pdf" will produce an image from wikimedia. So, Google should shut down its own search engine.

Claims that approved COVID-19 tests cannot diagnose COVID-19.

REALITY: The PCR test is well known for picking up insignificant fragments for COVID-19, and thus producing false positive tests.

Content that claims that COVID-19 cannot spread in certain climates or geographies.

REALITY: If people are outdoors (in warm climates), they are simply less likely to catch COVID. There is not one single documented case of COVID transmission from casual outdoor interaction. Outdoor transmission is rare. There is no scientific study to link outdoor dining with spread of coronavirus. The Los Angeles County Health Department was unable to provide any evidence in court.

Content that claims that any group or individual has immunity to the virus or cannot transmit the virus.

REALITY: People who have recently contracted COVID, essentially have immunity for period of time. 99.3% of people with natural immunity maintained antibodies for up to 21 months. Children are poor vectors of the virus. From the horse's mouth, Anthony Fauci, "If you look at the data, the spread among children and from children is not really very big at all, not like one would have suspected. So let’s try to get the kids back".

Content that disputes the efficacy of local health authorities’ or WHO's guidance on physical distancing or self-isolation measures to reduce transmission of COVID-19.

REALITY: Accoring to MIT researchers, indoor social distancing guidelines are unnecessary and not based on science. It makes virtually no difference whether folks are 6 or 60 feet apart.

Claims that the virus no longer exists or that the pandemic is over.

REALITY: What is and is not a 'pandemic' is merely a definition. People on the left have changed the definition in order to continue the state of emergency forever.

Claims that the symptoms, death rates, or contagiousness of COVID-19 are less severe or equally as severe as the common cold or seasonal flu.

REALITY: One study shows that Omicron is 91% less virulent than the alpha variants, making it closer to the flu. Don't put it past YouTube to use truthful talk of Omicron becoming more flu-like as an excuse to remove videos.

risk

Claims that the symptoms of COVID-19 are never severe.

REALITY: For some groups, such as healthy young people, COVID is rarely severe. While it's technically not "never", don't put it past YouTube to use talk about its rarity in some groups as an excuse to remove videos.
